1. I've always thought Liam is a total prick,Noel's ok though.I have the 1st 3 albums but they went on the wane after that.

  2. Yes...this theatre is beautiful..love seein shows here....
  3. Noel was great last night. The new songs sounded fantastic. If I Had A Gun,Aka What A Life and Record Machine were the standouts,as far as the new tunes.Wonderwall and Supersonic were acoustic, and sounded very good. The encore was Little By Little,Importance Of Being Idle and Dont Look Back In Anger....best part of the show IMO...place went nuts for all 3....

Noel seemed tp get pissed off, at a fan in the front, half way through. He kept looking down to his right and said "What have it..what have it".....then he said something like "If its ok,Id like to continue, alot people paid money to hear me play music".Everyone then cheered of course. He then played Half The World Away, and after pointed to the guy afterwards and said "that was for you".Kinda cool, tense moment there.

Rest of the gig was without incidents.LOL.
  4. Wow. Looking at the setlist he really "covered" all his best Oasis tracks, aside from The Masterplan. I am sure that three-song encore was magical.
  5. Was the fan asking for him to play Half The World Away or what? What a moron. You're in the first row, shut the fuck up and enjoy whatever he plays!!

Did he end the show with Anger?

EDIT: Nevermind, I checked the setlist. WTF, now I really regret not having bought tickets for his Madrid show

Yes,Anger ended the show....place was so loud singin the chorus,Noel was really impressed and smiling during the tune.

I don't get it.There is always 1 asshole in the crowd. He handled it well.I'm sure he was being sarcastic sayin that song was for him.I'm goin to listen to the song later, see if there are certain lyrics that maybe refer to a jerk.I was just worried Noel would maybe flip and then leave, ala a Morrissey..lol..he was fine after his comments.Crowd otherwise was wonderfull.Noel kept sayin "you Americans are loud people"...lol
  8. Does anybody know the story behind Talk Tonight? I discovered it the other day.
  9. Tell us!!
  10. Talk Tonight was written when Noel 'ran out' on the band during one of their first US tours in late-1994. They were in Los Angeles playing some shows and really taking advantage of the nightlife/drugs. Noel felt they weren't taking the gigs seriously, so he just went out and headed to San Francisco. There, he stayed with a girl he had befriended during a previous show there. They talked and talked, she distraughtly tried to take Noel "off the ledge" and took him to the park where she played as a child. The whole song is about the lot of things he experienced while with her. She was obsessed with 'Snapple' strawberry lemonade so that was also included on the song (All your dreams are made of strawberry lemonade..). The 'chewing on a bone' bit might be a reference about him getting away and having some time to think about the situation of the band and how quickly things were happening.
