    I'm hoping that this item doesn't rank too high on eBay once it's out and done. I'm not keen to pay $50 just for the sake of subscribing and getting it. I'd be happy paying $15 for the CD though.
  5. Tend to agree...$50 is a pretty steep price to pay for a CD - even two CD's. Add to the fact they aren't touring next year so there won't be any concert ticket benefits.

    Yeah, that's what I meant with "just for the sake of getting a CD", there won't be presale codes next year so subscribing just to get the CD and access exclusive online content which is widely available for free... Cht cht
  7. Can't please all the people all the time. We want a live cd, they give us one and even let us choose the tracks but we still aren't happy. A pre-sale code is even less value. Paying to pay for your tickets early? I'll take the cd thanks

    But do you agree that the CD isn't worth the subscription alone, don't you?
  9. The price has been the same year on year. It shouldn't be a problem all of a sudden. In terms of what it is this cd is the best they have offered to date. If any person doesn't think the sub is worth it then do not buy. It will be obtained via other means for those not subscribing.

    I tried to get tickets for the Toronto shows in '09 and couldn't until we booked them from am travel agency. For the Toronto '10 (actually 11) show I joinded the fan club and got tickets.

    Exactly. Thing is, fans have been angry at U2.com in the past for their poor choice of material (think Duals). Now they let fans choose, which means that fans won't be able to blame U2.com for the choice anymore. Smart move.
