    And it continues...

And my opinion still stands where it is.
  2. Velvet Dress is one of those songs that are so perfect on the album that i almost don't want them to bring back
  3. I enjoy One Step Closer as well. That and Playboy Mansion are the only generally hated songs that I like.
  4. My One Strep Closer comment wasn't really negative, YBR, Slug, Cedars are also songs I almost always listen to before sleeping, and they're brilliant.

I think One Step Closer is fine. Nothing extraordinarily good, nothing extraordinarily bad.

  5. You quoted me thrice and I stand by my quotes, yep ... One Step Closer is booooring, and not only musically: at least Velvet Dress and Cedars Of Lebanon tell a story. One Step Closer is plain boring.
  6. North and South of the River Live version 1998 to me is amazing.
I know they co wrote it but it's a nice listen.
Statless is another one I love to listen to.
  7. I really think that a lot of people are hard on 'Miami' and though I can understand where they're coming from, there's a certain atmosphere you have to be in to really get into this track. Once you are in it, you can see that it really is a gritty mood piece about our plastic, 'anything for a buck' culture and its capital city. I don't know how underrated 'Silver and Gold' is at this point, but hearing that on the Joshua Tree reissue recently reinforced the fact that along with "Exit', those songs are intense like a mofo (no pun intended, honest!).
  8. Lots of underrate U2 songs guys or at least, there some U2 songs that general people should know the same way they know Beautiful Day, One, With Or Without etc

    Just to give some names

    Tomorrow
    Rejoice
    A Sort Of Homecoming
    In God's Country
    Lemon
    The Wanderer
    Last Night On Earth
When I Look At The World

    And the list goes on...
  9. I really like Flower Child also.

I actually realized that I've fallen in love with almost all the songs from BOMB and the associated recording sessions.

Also, what do you guys think about the alternate versions of SYCMIOYO and All Because Of You?

    I agree completely

Disagree (of course). I think it was originally a meaningful song to Bono which would kind of make it awkward to get into but the great thing about U2 is that the meaning isn't usually explicit. The lyrics could be interpreted to fit a number of situations more personal. I'm not old enough to place myself in Bono's shoes, I don't feel the need to ponder like he does but there are things in life that require a little positive boost from the catalogue of U2 and this song sometimes fits like a glove.
