Anaheim 2 begs to differ. I seriously think it's one of the strongest performances of that song in the entire tour. Also, there's no confusion there. Bono knows for sure that love is a secret, not a podcast. But in general, the later performances of Ultra Violet are much stronger because Bono is more focused on singing the song as opposed to playing around with the steering wheel mic.
But in general, Ultra Violet sounds way better during 360 than it ever did back during ZooTV. The ZooTV performances never really encompassed the mood the song carried and even felt lackluster.
I love the Zoo TV performances of it. I love what Edge was doing on guitar (especially during the bridge), I love the chorus vocals and how Bono would do the falsetto and Edge would respond with the "Ultraviolet" part. Plus Bono had a whole Elvis thing going on with the powerful parts of the song. His voice sounded "powerful" back on the ZooTV performances, on 360 it sounded raw and emotional. I'm not saying either one is better than the other, but I think they're different and I do like both versions.

Likewise, the 360 version is great for the band's current persona. I especially love the idea of the light jacket representing a Bono of an earlier age. Seeing him don it for Ultra Violet makes you instantly think of a man singing of a past age of youth. Bono removing the light jacket and seeing it off during With Or Without You is an equally symbolic moment of the show, one where Bono recognizes that there is a time for him to bid the past farewell.
