A bit bored, but in a great mood.

No pain at all, only my right hand hurts a bit. As you know I'm writing only with left hand (although Im right-handed), but I can't avoid "tryin" to write with my right. It moves involuntary while I write with left. And it hurts.

By the way, thanks for asking. How'r you?

Know how that feels - I did my shoulder once and even though I was in a sling I still tried to use it!!

I'm good thanks; works looking quiet again so I might be on here as fair bit once more!!

Oh, no surgery today? Then stay on here. This looks more interesting than weight checks...
  6. Well people I'm going out for a while. My partner needs the laptop and I need to study a bit.
    See you later

Quiet surgery today Dr.VetMan ? Just a question,do the type of injuries you see to now in the Lakes differ from where you where based before ? Different types of animals and the such like......

As we stand at the moment I've done 5 consults this morning, a dog and cat castration just now and have 4 patients lined up for the rest of the day. Very quiet today It's difficult not to tempt fate though as one of the things with this job is you don't know what's around the corner - I can never fully plan my workday.

I haven't in fairness been here long enough to make an accurate assessment of injuries. I haven't seen many RTA's (Road Traffic Accidents) yet here and in Northampton I could expect to see maybe 2-3 a day.
The types of dogs have changed though - in Northampton, particularly because I did a lot of charity work for the PDSA, there were a lot of Staffies and Rottweilers. Here it's more Labradors and Border/Lakeland (:P ) terriers.
My colleagues do treat cows/sheep etc too - in Northampton we were solely small animal.

Cheers mate. I still do a bit of the PDSA work, although there's not as much call for it up here.
Once I've been here a bit longer I'll let you know if there's any patterns emerging.

Not entirely. Come the New Year I will be doing on-call where I may occasionally have to do calvings etc. Calvings = arms up arses and,...well..., other places too..
