1. if i were to rank the albums it'd go something like this:

    Absolution
    Origin of Symmetry
    Showbiz
    Black Holes & Revelations
    The Resistance

they need to revisit their old sound, they've taken this sub-Queen stuff as far as it'll go.

But why don't you like the rest of the songs? I mean, they have a couple of dull or mediocre songs, but they don't count for the half of their catalogue IMO.

I guess I should clarify that the rest of the songs I can listen to, but don't enjoy to the same degree that I enjoy listening to most U2 songs (obviously). To be honest though, sometimes I feel like you have to be in the proper mood to listen to MUSE because the lyrics can be so charged at times and because the lyrical content of a song does influence how much I enjoy it. I'm not always in the mood to want to tear down the government.

Also, Matt doesn't always do the best job of enunciating the lyrics at times. So I would probably say that 20% of their songs are dull/mediocre, 60% of them are songs that I listen to on a somewhat regular basis and the last 20% are songs that I thoroughly enjoy at all times.
  3. Its funny because Resistence was the album that got me into Muse, b4 that i only know SMBH and Starlight. So after listening to Resistence i thought it was great...... so i go buy the 1st 4 albums, listen to them, then realise that Resistence is not so good
  4. Top rated comment is mine, as usual

  5. ^ fuck that, dubstep is NOT a masterful step forward. clearly Matt Bellamy has never considered that "less is more".
  6. If they go dubstep, then I will shoot myself in the balls. That is ridiculous. Dubstep is one of the worst things to happen to music. Muse are pretty much doing a Coldplay and playing the 'try-to-get-down-with-the-kids' card.
  7. It's just a trailer, take it easy. We'll wait until the full first single comes out (sometime next weeks).

"Why can't we have kids Kieran?"

    "Muse went dubstep"
  9. It's Muse. I'm sure it'll be awesome. Their tweeting from the studio supports my case.

  10. -1

Just because Muse have a long run of great studio albums – well, maybe not The Resistance – it doesn't mean this one will be good. That trailer does suggest that it will be a dubstep version of The Resistance and if it is that, I assure you it will be horrible. Dubstep is woeful.

But maybe I'm reading into it too much. I suppose I can't really comment too much yet, so we will have to wait until the lead single is released.

Mind you, that does mean a tour at the end of the year. I'll see that.
