1. Thanks Are that approximate figures ot properly scientifically-determined info? (if you know what I mean)
  2. The write speeds? They're minimum specification. A class 4 card must be able to write at at least 4MB/s, likewise, a class 6 card must write at a minimum of 6MB/s. They can operate above that, but it must be a minimum sustained write speed relative to class. The first list is just an example of what you can expect to achieve with each class. A class 2 card for example will struggle to keep up with a Full HD video recording.

    What's your current x-rating?
  3. Aha, ok Thanksss, much clearer now. I have a 4GB class-4 right now what's served me well for years (and a 8GB mini-SD which doesn't even specificate its class and works a treat), and the Nikon I'm buying comes with a 8 GB class-6 so I should be fine
  4. OMG, it's amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
  5. Entering an Instagram competition for festival tickets with this photo... theme and tag #wowsound (wow=Way Out West).

Doubt I'll win anything, but you can always try
  6. Greatly composed photo, but I don't like the whole instagram stuff.

We get better cameras, better optics, better zooms and better definitions each year and each month, and then we throw it all away by adding it a filter thak makes the photo look like 30-years-old crap. WTF
  7. Sometimes the effects are cool though... I can't say I'm a huge fan though.

Did you see the The Onion joke about a new software restoring photos? I think it was The Onion.

Yeah, I thought that photo fitted the "sound" theme quite well.

  8. It has some chances if there are not that many people who are into it as well
I remember about 4 years back I participated in a photo competition in a local newspaper, and I was quite sure that I will be among winners. At the end I took 2nd place, then I tried again and took 3rd, but was happy anough just to see those photos on the pages of a newspaper anyway. And two little prizes still remind me of that happy moments...
Good luck to your pic Olof, and who knows maybe фортуна улыбнется тебе
  9. ^ natural or filter/photoshop? Looks incredibly gorgeous.

I agree, not a fan of Instagram at all. If you are going to use it all the time, don't edit the photos.
  11. Although you could just exchange the Instagram stuff in Sergio's post for mobile cameras.
