1. They all seen to have their side projects going on. Gary is off to do another Tired Pony album early next year.

  2. and I can't wait for it! I've been listening to the debut a lot recently, which is odd because i remember only really listening to it in the winter as it strikes me as a winter album. interesting how SP is still on tour then, I always feel like artists don't really multitask well ahaha. as in they should be in one band at one time. that's just me though.

The guy is right, Snow Patrol (as many other bands) mistreat Australia & New Zealand in an ugly way, touring there rarely, if at all... Not nice

Also, about the side projects, I hope they don't end up breaking up with the band. I really want to see them again, on their own and not on a festival nor being a support band. They haven't come to Spain in such conditions yet ¬¬
  4. Im sure there are reasons. Snow Patrol just played Japan and Korea so logistics not likely to have been an issue. I'm pretty sure they were festival dates though. Easier for them just to book a festival slot rather than taking their whole show to the other side of te world where they might worry about selling out. Who knows.
  5. They don't need to fill a 17.000 arena to make it worth. Eight or ten 2.000 theatres (e.g. easy to sell out) up and down Australia&NZ and voila, you've got your audience happy and at the same time do a bigger tour and attract more attention. It just makes no sense.
  6. Too many gigs for not enough return I think. Music is business and the money men promoters wouldn't go the whole way over to break even. A shame indeed. Hopefully they'll make it out sooner or later.
  7. It really pisses me off, and a lot of other people as well. They are a reasonably popular band over here, especially with < 30s. And then they do make the effort to get out here, and all they do is play a single show in both Sydney and Melbourne? I mean cmon, if you are going to make the effort, at least play a night in Brisbane also (Australia's third largest city, with the Gold Coast at the sixth largest city under 100kms away). A hell of a lot of bands don't even bother coming out here, so for them to make the trip and do that, it's nearly just as bad. Just my two cents.

Edit: it wouldn't bother me if they did half a dozen acoustic shows over here, but the fact that they are just doing two gets me annoyed, especially when I've been hanging out to see them for so long.
  8. Sorry for the rant, I've said my piece. If I could have afforded a trip to Sydney to see them I would have, but I'm just a lowly student
  9. Gary popped up at Ed Sheeran's iTunes festival gig tonight to duet Chasing Cars. I wished the two of them would just get a room and have their way with each other for a night. Not a fan of Sheeran.
  10. Sheeran is an ugly overrated tool. Why Snow Patrol are associating themselves with him is beyond me.

LOL I'm the opposite I think Ed has good taste in associations and has talent. Not like I listen to him but love their bromance ahaha
  12. I met him and he's a nice guy. His music is whatever.
