1. We talk about needing Bono in the studio, but as I recall in From The Sky Down, most of the lyrical work simply comes from re-translated Bongolese. That being said, a simple solution would just be to record EVERYTHING Bono says at all time.

    Except in the bedroom.

  3. True. Or not true? We never really know exactly where songs come from...

Also as with the Taylor Swift song, the U2 influences are strong with this one.

  5. Why does Bono's absence from studio have to be a bad thing?
  6. It must be the 4 of them, if something really needs to happen. Let's hope something will happen...

  7. While it does have to be all 4 of them in the studio to get a song put together, the pieces don't necessarily have to be found that way. The worst position for a band to be in is one in which they feel rushed to get material out. That's why 99.9% of what is considered "popular music" by American standards sucks.
  8. When I posted my previous post, I was thinking of that video featuring Edge looking for the right sound for Boots on his own all night long. Society is where Bono gets his inspiration from. One Step Closer was inspired by a conversation with Noel Gallagher. The Ground Beneath Her Feet is a result of socializing. Bono has to get his ideas somewhere, forcing them is not the right way.

I do agree but isn't it when the four are together that miracles happen?

I didn't know the One Step Closer story. Care elaborating?
