1. has the code arrived Matt?
  2. No...I got a reply from the ticket vendor (topspin) and it said the code is sent from teh artist, not them. I checked out the SG forums and other preoderers also had stated they too had not received their presale codes. I believe for the recent/upcoming Sheperd's Bush show in London, the presale passwords were given out just a day before the actual presale.

In any case, I'll be at a (working) computer at noon on Thursday. I'm just hoping there aren't too many overly eager individuals like me - The Phoenix Concert Hall has a capacity of only 1100!
  3. I got a heads up about this NYC gig a while back,I cant make it with the events going on here in Manhattan....Im going to grab this album forthwith, bits I heard sound great.

With the passwod you can TRY and gets tickets, give it a go of course....not sure of the size capacity of Irving Plaza, but its small..1,000 seems like alot..I saw Paul Weller there a few years ago, maybe 750,I could be wrong..

I heard they are planning a major arena tour over the winter 2012/13,if thats the case,I hope an MSG date is there,I will go no question..

    Played I-5 yesterday..great live release....
  4. It'll be a major victory ofr me if I get the tickets. I am with just over a thousands spots available - and (a cap of) two tickets per password - it'll be tough. I'm quite certain there are a few thousand fans of SG in southern Ontario.

Like you Ed, if it doesn't work out for me, I'll try for a larger venue show - no repeats of 2011!
  5. Mudhoney ‏@Mudhoney_
Mudhoney opening for some legends in Seattle in February. Stay tuned, more news about this tomorrow.

meanwhile they've just completed the new album
  6. maybe PJ, too!
  7. The suck who I was suppose see this SG concert with (assuming I get tickets, that is) just bailed on me. He went to see PJ with me last year, had a great time (I think), and asked me to keep my "ear to the ground" for any upcming shows. I offered him Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and now Soundgarden - and in the end said no all three times. What more could one ask for when it comes to other PJ-esque bands?

His wife's got him on way too short of a leash.
  8. Still not too sure where to post Nirvana thoguths/info so I'll do it here - I know you'll be perusing this thread, Ron.

I have been listening to that Rome 1994 show - it sounds fantastic! This thing could be mistaken for an official release, for sure. There's no way it's an audience recording as advertised.

All of the above said, there really is no need to release it with any anniversary release of In Utero next year. There's not too ,uch they can do to improve it. I think it would be great if tey release the band's "Last American Show" from Seattle earlier that year. It needs a sound upgrade and it has more songs (including "Milk It" and "Frances Farmer ..." ) than the Rome show.

speaking of Nirvana/Kurt is like honey for bear for me hehe
the last copule of Seattle gigs have their own consistency to come out .. the 8 jan has a couple of songs in pro-video (i remember Serve The Servants and Come As You Are), and the 7 has one song (don't remember exactly which one but from In Utero for sure) included in From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah.
so both could easily be considered for the set of In Utero celebration.
it would be nice also the Los Angeles and oakland from 30/31 december.
as DVD Seattle 8 would be great, being, like i've said, pro-clips around .. while for the other dates mentioned only amateur registrations .. but who knows ..
i hope not MTV Live And Loud as there are already lots of very good versions .. and from MTV the unplugged is far way enough.
uhm praying they're not like U2 and add Unplugged in New York in the set hehehe
