1. Added this bit of beautiful kit to my little recording area just today. This now makes two synths, a lot of virtual instruments and an old keyboard:

  2. My laptop battery wasn't good anymore, so I ordered a new one.
I put the new one in my laptop and it was working, but it got to 10% so I wanted to charge it. And thats the problem, it doesnt charge after 20 minutes pluged in it still says: 10% available (To AC, beiing charged).
But it doesn't charge at all.

So I called the company were I ordered the battery and the guy told me to let the battery go empty and than plug it in again. I did, but still no sign of improvement. It isnt a problem with my laptop or with the adapter since my old battery does charge.

Any ideas? Or should I just send the battery back and hope that the new one will work
  3. Maybe it's a compatibility issue, PC only recognises 10% of the charge although it might hold more? Try using it plug-less and count how much time does it last, so you know if that 10% is real or not.
  4. Poor Lumia 900 screen demolished after a dunken night out. The dsplay itself is ok but i'm not sure if it's glued to the glass. If they can be separated then it's an easy enough fix but if the display needs replacing then I think i'll have to sell it. I'd be lucky to get a new display for much less than £100. Damn beer!
  5. What to buy though? I'm not interested in paying big money as my upgrade is due in a few months. WP still feels short of being complete but a Lumia 710 could be had with the funds from the damaged 900. iOS is a no which then leaves Android. I was hoping the Nexus 4 would drive down prices of the Galaxy Nexus but the stock issues and less than favourable review mean the GNex is holdng it's value.
  6. That's awful to hear, Ger, sorry for your 900. I didn't know screns were THAT expensive, I had to look it up. There are several ones for ~70€ (~60 GBP) but I would understand if you were a little reluctant:

All from 99% or higher positive feedback sellers.

It's still much more expensive than I thought. I replaced my iPod Touch screen for 12 bucks (total), and my father's Nokia 5800 for 16 if I recall right. 70 seems awfully more expensive. Damn, so sorry for you.
  7. A drawback of AMOLED displays. It's a shame that the glass and the display are bonded together because the glass itself is about £15. I'll keep an eye of faulty devices on eBay. I'd use a Lumia 710 or get a HTC 8S for a few months.
  8. Managed to pick up a HTC radar on the cheap. It will do for a month or 2 until the Lumia 620 (or 720 if announced) become available. Now to see if I can get a remotely good price for a broken screened 900.
  9. Good luck on that...

Anybody knows how to change the wifi scan rate on the Xperia Ray (aka non-rooted, standard 4.0.4 Android)? It does it every few seconds and it annoys the f* out of me, specially when going on the bus and loads of different wifis appear...

  11. No idea at all
