1. I've tried so hard to like the U22 version of Streets, but every time I listen to it, I can't stop myself from subconsciously comparing it to other versions of Streets. I keep thinking "Oh it's not like Slane," or "Hmmm, I wish it were more like Boston," etc. That is all I can hear, so I can't see myself ever using the U22 Streets in a playlist.
  2. Same, i think I hear it as the "single edit" or something, one that isn't necessarily epic, but gets the job done because it's short and tame. I really like the mix, everyone besides Bono sounds good to me which is why I'll keep using it haha
  3. my only real problem on these discs is Ultraviolet, Bono's voice is so meh, and COBL the way he sings "time, time time" is just
  4. I agree with you about UV, but I like the song enough that I'm willing to overlook it. I also agree with you regarding COBL, but the rest of the song is so AMAZING (better than the Vertigo Tour DVD recordings) that I'm willing to overlook that one section. Plus, that part is just a transition to "time, won't leave me as I am, etc." which is extremely powerful from a lyrical standpoint.
  5. Yeah agreed! Actually now that I think about it my least favorite is MAGNIFICENT, Bono just doesn't sound good imo but for me everything is pretty listenable, Streets included.
  6. There are some tremendous performances from the Elevation and Vertigo Tours (many of which, thankfully, can be found on at least one of the DVD's from these two tours) and it really is tough to place some of these 360 performances along side them. That said, having 43 specific-to-audio live tracks from these guys is nothing short of a miracle and I'll take what I can get right now.

(That doesn't mean I wouldn't like more, however.)

    MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
  8. I'm sure that in the months following the release of U22 and Edge's Picks, people were too busy picking their jaws up off the floor to be complaining about a lack of a new album.
  9. if a new album isn't out or at least close to completion by Nov/Dec I'm probably gonna start complaining LOL
  10. ^^
I think many people will be with you there, me included. I'd actually be more genuinely concerned than complaining. If Bono sets a deadline and doesn't make it, it could be explained by him being lax with his timeline. If Larry sets a deadline and doesn't make it, it means there's a legitimate reason and therefore a cause for concern.
  11. Agreed, the fact that Larry spoke out hold more weight than Bono, Edge or Adam. They need to enter the publics consciousness again because 360 ended almost two years ago already.

    CD1 for me is:
    1. EBTTRT
    2. The Fly
    3. Myst. Ways
    4. Breathe
    5. I Will Follow
    6. Boots
    7. Magnificent
    8. UTEOTW
    9. NYD
    10. e-storm

    12. Your Blue Room
    13. ISHFWILF
    14. Stay
    15. One Tree Hill
    16. NLOTH

Admittedly, CD2 will probably end up being a bit of a mish-mash while CD3 will close out the mix as one would expect it should.
