The part with the solo holds great potential: Edge could really show of here. Moreover, Bono's vocals on this track are just magnificent. In U2 by U2 it says Edge forgot how to play it, because it was recorded so quickly. But let's be honest: that's bullshit.

    2. Play the extended version of Mysterious Ways or don't play it at all
I don't have to explain this, do I?

    3. Pop
Do You Feel Loved or Mofo would be good, Discothèque + Velvet Dress would be great.

    4. Shuffle if not rotate
I agree with Matt, U2 shouldn't have to much rotating slots. I think it is possible to shuffle parts of the setlist every night, though. For example, Crazy Tonight/Sunday Bloody Sunday/Scarlet/Walk On could have been switched with Ultraviolet/With or Without You/Moment of Surrender, maybe even replacing the first songs of the setlist...

I actually agree with every single word in this post. And I have to say, When I Look At The World is one of the most underrated U2 songs...it's a fantastic song, great solo, great lyrics, great melody, and the sadness in Bono's voice wraps it all up perfectly. The only semi-performance of it is one of my favorite bits of U2 live.

  3. Not that I dislike the post-ZooTV stuff (I like it, I swear) but a night with 1980's hits and AB stuff would be awesome.

    That would be incredible

When I Look At The World was immediately one of my favourites off of ATYCLB. It's a shame (and baffling) why they didn't perform it during the Elevation tour. It seemed to fit the theme of the whole thing, no?

A U2 gig without any post 2000 material wouldn't feel like a U2 gig to me. Just saying...

    +1

I dream of a show with nothing but pre-Achtung stuff. I salute their entire catalog, but the 80's were the best, IMHO.

  8. Don't worry. It'll never happen. There are too many fans (and U2 themselves) that want/need stuff from ATYCLB and HTDAAB. Like I stated earlier, I like many of those songs but none would be in my top 25 - the length of a long U2 show.

It sure did....there is only the little snippet, which as I said, it's one of my favorites...he actually sings most of the song during the snippet, so it's pretty nice

And yea, Lemon have done a fantastic job covering this song as well as the others....the guy sounds too much like Bono
