Keep the visuals simple during that portion. By simple, I mean none. Just have video of each band member and simple ambient light. This actually works better with some songs that don't have complex visuals, such as I Will Follow, Out Of Control, Electric Co, etc. The acoustic set can be up in the air as well.
But when people expect customized visuals for every single song, it becomes very difficult for the set to be spontaneous. That's why I suggest they do a visually simplistic stage setup. Keep the stage format from Elevation/Vertigo Tours and bring back the LED curtains. The Elevation Tour video screen is also a simple one, but I think the LED curtains were genius and am hoping they bring those back.
