Thanks for the Reading show post - I'll watch it ASAP.

I think there must be an issue with the copy you have, the one from Muselive should be fine.
  3. Apparently I have reached my download limit at Muse live - and I've only downloaded a few shows!

  4. It happened the same to me - can't remember if I continued downloading later or not. Anyway I'm not a completist like I am with U2 so I can live with the current 45 bootlegs I currently have from Muse

By the way, I'm listening to some 2003 bootlegs lately (currently listening to Helsinki 2003-10-11, Ex Soundboard). Opening with Apocalypse Please is sick, and so is the rest of the set:

    Apocalypse Please
    Hysteria
    Bliss
    Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
    Sing for Absolution
    Citizen Erased
    Piano interlude
    Space Dementia
    Endlessly
    Feeling Good
    Butterflies & Hurricanes
    Sunburn
    Muscle Museum
    Time Is Running Out
    Plug In Baby
    The Small Print
    ---encore---
    Blackout
    New Born
    Stockholm Syndrome

The transition between Absolution, Citizen Erased, the piano interlude (which is basically an early Take A Bow version) and Space Dementia just blows my mind every time. If anyone wants the bootleg I can upload it here. It's superb. A 900 people venue helps too
  5. It's also the first performance of Endlessly ever. Not my favorite song of course but an interesting fact none the less
  6. Why is it that bands always go to Japan to do random crap for music videos?

I'm immediately reminded of The Killers and their Read My Mind video.

Panic Station is MUCH MORE random and bizarre than Read My Mind I don't know, I guess it's such a tremendously different culture to ours that Japan must have that "something" that drives people to do bizarre stuff.
  8. Oh I was going to compare Panic Station to For Reasons Unknown regarding bizarreness and such. But seriously I'm wondering how the decision process goes...

"We want to do random crap in our music video."
    "Go to Japan. Problem solved."

But I'm going to be honest and say that I'm not really into the video... I wasn't impressed with Supremacy's music video either. I'm really hoping the trend changes when they release the next one.

I'll try muse live again later today and see if I can get the Reading 2006 show again - and this one. I was planning on downloading this Helsinki show as well - it's got Space Dementia!

I would indeed appreciate a download link if I still am blocked by the site.
  10. Let me know if you can't download anymore/yet from ML and I will work it out!
  11. I'm downloading some of the songs right now but I got the "you've reach your download limit" message after seven. I'll keep trying. There's no major rush.

As great as the 2004 Glastonbury show is, this Helsinki setlist trumps it. You get the "big six" from Absolution, the best six from OoS (although they didn't play Hyper Music much did they?), two of the best from Showbiz (too bad no Unintended or Showbiz) and three songs I don't know - but I will soon (I hope).
  12. The Helsinki show is just superb, I'm uploading it regardless of MuseLive restricting you or not

And yes, Glastonbury 04 is often cited (even by the band themselves) as their best show but there are far better setlists out there, with excellent recordings too.

They have played Hyper Music quite a bunch of times, mostly between late 2000 and mid 2002. There's a SICK performance of it in the Eurokennes'02 show (which you should get if you don't have it, btw) with Matt screaming at the very top of his lungs, an early instrumental Stockholm Syndrome at the end and stuff. It was of course performed -like the rest of Origin Of Symmetry- at Reading and Leeds 2011 too - probably for the last time ever
