1. They showed a small slideshow of his album cover designs when they announced the news of his death on Newsnight, truly great artwork. You'd probably find most in our "Favourite Album Covers" topic.

    Sorry for the auto-quote but I was revisiting my Youtube account and found some vids from this lads (Brit Floyd). Close your eyes and you're JUST listening to the original Pink Floyd.

  3. Awesome indeed, but what's up with Echoes? Are they playing to the original song or something? Everything sounds echoed (pun only intended once I wrote echoed and realized)
  4. They are that good. I think they use some samples extracted from the original songs though (the intros to Echoes and Another Brick, for example).
  5. I've been listening to alot of Pink Floyd lately, as well as seeing Roger Waters perform The Wall, but even after reading a few of the comments in this thread, I really can't get into Dark Side of the Moon. From what i've listened to, I would have their albums in this order of personal preference;

    1. The Wall (possibly due to seeing it live, probably in 3rd place otherwise)
    2. Animals
    3. Wish You Were Here (interchangeable with Animals)
    4. The Division Bell
    5. Dark Side of the Moon.

  9. Roger Waters was totally mindblowing the other day in Dublin. I hadn't cried at any concert by anyone who wasn't U2 but I broke down during Bring The Boys Back Home with all the "Every gun... Every rocket... etc" things. Truly moving. And Roger was on fire, he was absolutely pumped and being the 2nd-to-last concert of the tour (and the last at an English speaking country) he gave everything. Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

    I got a setlist, of course There were no setlists due to the nature of the show (always the same set everywhere; techs carry a plastic cardboard with the setlist embebbed into it) but I managed to get one from a tech that had a printed copy (I guess from the 2011 arena tour but don't know it for sure):

    More pics and a couple of vids later today or in the upcoming days.
  10. It was an excellent show in Manchester too. Again, he and the band gave it their all and it was a subliminal show - possibly one of the best I've been too.
