At least I will get the digital copy! I suspect the Breathe version will probably be shared later too

This. Rocking horse only got in QoTSA and Nick Cave records for yesterday. Sucks. Egg and all the other stores didn't even know about it

And don't look at the eBay prices either... at least $80 AUD including shipping...
  3. I hopefully have one coming from Germany.. For about $25 or something. Was $14 euros

  4. Yup. That $40 subscription sure is paying off in one way or another. I don't know why people are so bitter about the book. I personally don't mind it. Plus, you get these little unannounced gifts every now and then.
  5. After a week or something and some listening every now and then to Ordinary Love, I can only hope that the new album (if it ever comes out) will have some fresh sounds. This sounds so much like a lot of U2 tracks in the last 13 years.

It's so middle of the road, nothing special about it. The lyrics are cheesy, the music is dull and I hear to much Bono and too little Larry, Edge, Adam. Bono sounds good but it feels like something is missing.
May sound stupid but it's kinda hard to describe why I don't like it.

And Breathe, sounds different, maybe that why I like it.
  6. I dont deny attention was needed with Ordinary Love, but with the excitement of a new album coming im not going to assume it will be alike to Ordinary Love so if it comes I imagine it to be better and Ordinary Love has a compliment. Either way im going to buy the album, love it and also thrash it like I have Ordinary Love, I have complete faith in you, that it oversteps my music boundaries hehe
  7. My order is in the same category as yours Sergio. Not yet sent. Hopefully they come through and we get them

  8. DAANG! I like the original band version, but this version is... interesting. Interesting in a good way. I really like it: the stripped down atmosphere, Edge's bend on that acoustic guitar, Bono's melodic singing and falsetto. I especially love the song's melody. The lyrics can get a little silly at points - "love can be a good thing". Other than that, it's a cool rendition and I think more appropriate for Mandela than the band version (I like both of them, though).

Btw, besides the U2.com download does anyone know if the single will be available on iTunes? It's odd that they never considered putting it for sale as they'll get revenue there.

  9. same here.... but I'm not optimistic about it... :-(
  10. I really like the alternative Breathe, it's a very different take, it's humble and it's cool.
  11. did anyone actually get the single?
