1. Biffy Clyro are getting a reasonable following. Dave Grohl loves them, apparently.

Are you attending 4 shows by Biffy Clyro where you only know the support band and moreover, travelling along?! Holy shit. I admire you.

Biffy are huge. Some kind of Los Nirvanamones if you know what I mean. Not entirely my cup of tea but their shows are reportedly crazy.

Walking Papers is the sole reason I go. Maybe check one of the Biffy concerts as well . Listened to them on YouTube, think also not my cup of tea.

Walking Papers are great of course, but attending 3 support shows from you seems excessive Mainly because support acts don't get as many stage time as the main artists I'm sure their concert on the Paris boat will be awesome though
  5. I admire your commitment to the band

Sergio,Try to catch them in Madrid on the 10th.
Had a holiday left anyway and is great consolation
for missing Pearl Jam in Seattle.

No way I can make it to the Biffy show, I have two shows of my favorite Spanish band on the 11 and 12th, coincidentally at the same venue that Biffy and the Papers are playing . I was on the verge of buying tickets for Biffy it some weeks ago, because only the 12th show was announced, but then it was sold out and the 11th was added - killing any chance of me making it to the Biffy show.

By the way, Biffy have had two amazing supports this tour: Walking Papers ... AND Dry The River! Awesome postrock-folk band, some kind of a mix between Mumford&Sons and Mogwai, or something like that. Really recommended if you haven't heard of them!
  8. 3 years ago today i was sitting in Etihad Stadium waiting for the band the walk out, watching through my videos now, making me hungry to see them live again.
  9. Thus that makes it nearly three years since the best concert I am ever likely to see, and one of the greatest nights of my life. 2010-12-09.

I just wish I knew for sure that they were going to be back here on the next tour for sure.

....and what a show it was.

Let's hope we can do that again soon!!!
  11. Announcement to replace Blur (who cancelled their slot) at the Big Day Out 2014 sometime early this week.

Promoter says one band from the UK and two from the US will replace them. He also said

We're very close but all in all I'm really pleased," he continued. "We're fifty eight days out from the festival, and Blur didn't leave us a great deal of notice to go out and seek replacements. All that considered, we've hustled and we've got bands to change things they'd scheduled on a personal and business level. We've managed to overcome a few hurdles - the guitarist in one US band has TV commitments that he had to get out of.

Does anyone know a US band whose guitarist has/had TV commitments now or in the future?

Biggest speculated acts are Beady Eye (UK), The Black Keys (US, owe the BDO promoters a favour after pulling out two weeks before the festival in 2011), Kings of Leon (US, who said they want to be back here touring in summer 2014) and The Smashing Pumpkins (US).
  12. I would bet on The Black Keys and maybe one of the Gallagher bros.

(I assume you mean "your" summer 2014 - aka January, February, etc, and not north hemisphere's summer?)
