1. U2 played 4 nights at the United Center (~22,500, also virtually UNHEARD of for a band to do more than TWO nights there) equalling 90,000 tickets sold. That was on the Vertigo Tour.

There's simply no way they can drop down to the Allstate Arena. 5 nights? 6 nights? Just to meet demand. Ludicrous.
  2. They undermeet (?) demand most of the times they do arenas.

And they did FIVE Madison Square Garden's on the 2nd leg of Vertigo Tour anyway, so I wouldn't say doing 5 arenas in Chicago is that unlikely.

Actually they played 6 nights at the United Center on the Vertigo tour. They played Sept. 20 and 21st, 4 months after playing 4 nights at the same venue on the same tour.

They did the exact same thing on the Elevation tour as well.

IF they did play Allstate instead of the United Center my guess would be due to logistics and/or pricing. Might be a cheaper arena to rent (I would guess it is), and/or maybe the United Center has something already booked for the time frame they plan to tour there.

  4. ^ spot on - you're probably right about the renting odds. That makes SIX MSG's as well, counting the one during May... Not that absurd. Good to have you back by the way
  5. Plus, thy mentioned Charlottesville and John Paul Jones arena at the University of Virginia. I can see them playing there maybe while school is in session, but not during the Summer when most of the students are gone. Not saying its not possible, just unlikely. Surprised Washington DC and the Verizon Center wasn't on that list too.

    Rumors are rumors though.
  6. Wait is this actual news? Well looks like it's time to start saving up.
  7. It is all probably bullshit, we need an album first! I can't see them taking it out on the road as soon as May anyway. I posted this earlier in the day once I received it on Facebook knowing full well it was probably bullshit, but desperate times calls for desperate measures (bullshit rumours are better and more fun than no news at all!!)
  8. Seems very unlikely imo.

Yeah, it allows for some speculation and even some swearing like Matt's (EyesWithPride) haha

I've got exams atm, but I've got time in late january / early february so yeah I could do that...
But you must know there are ALWAYS podium constructions there... They make the steel for many artists.
Btw there's also Barco who made the screens several times. Last tour it was being tested in the Sportpaleis. If I only knew...
