I don't expect perfection; it's honesty, vulnerability, rough emotion, spontaneity and guts I'm looking for!
The real bottom line is that there are only so many trips to the well (of creativity) you can make before it eventually runs dry.
Perhaps that is what U2 and Eno were hinting at when they sang the William Bell classic, You Don't Miss Your Water ('Til the Well Runs Dry) in the U2.com clip during the NLOTH sessions. They were sending us a subliminal message that they don't have the goods anymore.
