  7. For the sake of being relevant how long between album releases do you become irrelevant? I think the new Coldplay tracks had something to do with this yet another postponed album/tour. Have Coldplay captured that sound that U2 has been looking for???
  8. For Christ's sake they are bringing in Paul Epworth to help produce now? I picked up U2 by U2 the other day (I read from it time to time) and when they were discussing the Pop album Paul McGuinness felt that it had too many cooks (meaning too many producers) with their hands in the pot.

    When and if this album gets finished; I do strongly believe that this will be their last.

  9. which is exactly what needs to happen because no amount of bono nonsense "it's the best album we've ever made" will spin this and they need to sack the new management because one thing we do know already THIS WILL NOT WORK. whereas mcguiness might have had the bollocks to say to bono we're making a record here it looks like this lot are happy for him to go playing politics with the likes of that twat cameron. Get Bono away from all his distractions or he needs to decide once and for all whether he actually wants to be in a band anymore and i suspect they all need to remind themselves what a band is so get them to do surprise shows for two months in britain and europe playing small (2000-4000) venues in places they wouldn't normally play. Copy the cities from the war and unforgettable fire tours and then cross off the likes of London/paris/amsterdam/barcelona/madrid/rome/milan/glasgow. and all other places that have been played a million times to people who are just there for their annual night out. Play places like aberdeen/dundee/newcastle/brighton, rehearse 50 songs change the set every night, announce the show on the day so that only those who live nearby have time to get there and if after two months they still can't get their arses into gear then fuck it, quit because (potentially) six years between albums is ridiculous.

  11. Agree... Waiting this long has made them become even more irrelevant. Dare I say it but they have become REM and I fear a similar fate... Fizzling out.
