They far out-performed U2. As did The Who. U2 were handicapped by the daylight but even at that, they wern't all that impressive. And the cheesey moment with the doves was a little(hardlt the bands fault but yuk all the same) Pink Floyd owned that day.

I think they had half an eye on getting to Austria for the Vertigo concert. But I gather that was pretty poor too. Good on them for doing both, but probably over-stretched.
Mention for Robbie who was good too. Not my thing, but he was good. But nothing touched Floyd.
