Same here. I don't mind the extra low production or the inherent issues of filming something with a thousand extras and outside a pro studio. The video is amazing how it is.
Wanted to post this here for all of the Parachutes lovers that I know still exist.
Chris played a one off show for some fans in NYC recently and played Sparks... he sounds like its been a bit since hes played it and hes a bit rusty, but anyways, good to hear that its not been forgotten!
Oh there's a follow up to Ghost Stories already in the works? Had no idea. I checked out of Coldplay-land when they put that trash record out. No way they could successfully tour that album worldwide though, so what you're saying makes sense. Cool. Hopefully it doesn't blow.
Yeah Matt, I had stepped aside of the CP field as well, but then this gorgeous video appeared and... Well, the album is still crap (still haven't listened to most of the songs more than twice) but I'm a little more interested now.
I love the video. It's such a stark contrast to the dark, depression of the song, but it fits nicely IMO. Also, love the Parachutes reference at the end.
Not sure if I've said it here, but I don't think this album is that bad..It's definitely not a big huge grand Coldplay album, but I think it's an album they were bound to make at some point and I can appreciate it.
Plus, Oceans is one of their greatest ever songs IMO.
