And 17.000 is exactly the capacity they're looking for I think. 15-20.000 people arenas.

  2. We're still talking about U2, right ?

I can't see them doing only ''small'' (comparing to their previous tours) arenas honestly. They will probably do some but I don't expect only this kind of arenas.

And it would be very hard to get tickets, since U2 is still one of the most popular acts.

Yes, getting tickets is definitely the biggest downside.
But they did similar arenas in USA on spring&autumn 2005; Fleet Center in Boston holds 19.000, Toyota Center in Houston holds 16.500 if memory serves, etc.... And in Europe back in 2001, they played London's Earls Court (20.000), Antwerp's Sportpaleis (same), Paris Palais Omnisports (17.000) and that kind of arenas. I mean, it's feasible to see them in that kind of venues again in my opinion. It's just that getting tickets would be a nightmare

Subscription is must have... but in germany there will be good chance without it, it was never sold out on 360

Yes, if they eventually play arenas, tickets for Germany and possibly the northern countries (Norway, Sweden, etc) will be easier to get than France, Italy and UK/Eire. Shame is that travelling to Italy is much cheaper than to Germany (at least from Spain)
  6. If they're doing arenas, I hope they come to Manchester.

And tickets are usually more expensive in Germany too... but it isn't about price, but about to get to some shows
  8. This is going to be exciting! Time to start saving extra money...
  9. My fear is that Italy could be only marginally touched, since we don't have those big indoor venues like in Uk or France...the biggest we have is PalaLottomatica in Rome which can host 13.000 people, then there is the Forum di Assago in Milan (12-13.000)....too small for U2, I think.
  10. If you purchase a U2.com subscription now, is it too late to get some sort of presale code with the tour? I'm not sure how you get grandfathered in with that. Never been a member.

I'll pay however much it is now if it means access to a presale.

If you subscribe BEFORE any tour dates are announced you'll get premium (platinum or whatever it's called) rights for presale. I reckon the time to do it would be between now and November.

Yeah, figured I'll purchase 2 more premium accounts before just like last tour to get myself in the front seat for at least 3 shows
