    Yes, but it's also likely (looking at previous tours) U2 will allow some fans in for one of the final dress rehearsals, might be interesting for the fans planning to be in Vancouver around opening night.

    When U2 announced their tourdates I hated myself, i'm going for a holiday to Toronto, but I'm there 4 days to late...... If I knew their tourdates earlier I had change my travelplans.. But that to late know.

    Since I love to go to an American show, I want to fly to Boston, just for the 14 july show. So fly in thuesday afternoon, return the morning after. Does anybody know a good and cheap place to sleep close to the Airport and the TD Garden??

    same here will will miss them in nyc just for days ... so it goes, that's life.

    have you ever watched a band play in the round?

    I mean there are 4 guy or 3 moving constantly. go and wtch something from metlaiica in the round and you will see it is absolutley possible to play a in the round show very fast very qickly and you will alway have something to watch. Always. for u2 I think they will have to learn first how to play such a stage.
  6. If U2 could work the claw in all of its moving parts, I'm very certain that U2 will know how to work a stage that's basically a rectangle.

    Now I'm more curious about the video screen setup they will have going.
  7. they will - absolutley, but they will have to learn how to like they had to learn how to work the claw. I mean when they started the catwalk wasn't a circle that change through the tour. I saw one of the first 10 shows in paris and to be honest ricky willson of the kaiser chiefs was doing a far better job at this time than bono
  8. I don't think they're going to move as fast as Metallica or other bands - U2 play other kind of music that requires other stage behaviour. I can't see Adam moving frenetically from tip to tip of the stage, can you? And I don't want them to concentrate more on where and how to face the audience than on delivering a good musical performance... Maybe I'm being too dramatic but I don't see this stage with good eyes judging from what we know about it.

    PS. Ricky Wilson is a good frontman, he's more active than Bono (although a lot less charismatic). He's got a lot of gestures and gags that remind me of the early 80s Bono actually - see the attached pic for more reference I didn't see them supporting U2 but I bet he did pretty well with the Claw's catwalk.

I saw u2 last time on the first leg (and yes I think the the second amsterdam show was a kind of showing what is possible). but in compare to leg III here in europe I think the band and their stage presents changed totally. you saw all three of them bono, edge and adam working the stage. and it turned the show 360 form me

    I do not see u2 perform like metallica there are other exaples for center stages that worked pretty good. Siply red had one in 1995, Justin Timberlake used one ... all slower and it worked. we will see. but I think when the ie tour will arrive in europe we will get a great show!
