i think you don t see the point.. the point is no F*cking tired versions of some classics ( SBS, NYD , WOWY, Pride)...maybe a medley give them a new life ...but current versions are too much boring for me
If you ask me i prefer no medley ...just new songs all the time or some songs they usually don t play. but for sure they will play this classics , so give them a new life

No, I DO get the point, but I think medley's are a bad solution. Or actually, no solution at all.
The initial point was : a medley would make the tired classics better again.
My argument is : the classics become 'worse' because they start to lack emotion. Not because they technically can't play it anymore. They can. Just with (way) less feeling. Do you (and others) really believe Bono (and the others) can give the songs more emotion when they just play a part ? Don't think so. Imo, it would be even worse. It would be quick and half-assed. Recently, Bono said it took him quite some time to get into Every Breaking Wave. That song is great because the emotions, not persé because it's musically great. So, he's REALLY not going to get into, let's say, WOWY for 30 seconds, in between 30 seconds of Streets and Pride.
Coverbands (or Sergio), well, they DO play it with emotion. Because they're great songs which they love AND they haven't played 5000 times. Therefore this could be/work better.
So yeah, like Alvin said : I prefer dropping them over a medley.
My 2 cents / opinion.

It sounds boring, but our drug of choice at the moment is songwriting, and trying to take U2's to the next level.
