1. Yeah I heard similar rumours a while ago, although that related to an April fools joke. I really hope this will not be their next single.. They didn't even promote their last one properly yet (Every Breaking Wave).
  2. Cedarwood is leading the race (by far) in my mind to become this album's classic track for me.

I hope it's electric version, it's their "heavier" track, the one that could fit with SBS-Exit-BTBS-(Acrobat).

Acoustic it sounds nice... but I'll be disappointed if they go for it instead of the full band version.

    Agree 100%
  4. Cedarwood Road is definitely the standout after all these months for me.
  5. that'd be volcano for me, love it to bits.
  6. Nice to see so much Cedarwood Road love around Raised and Cedarwood are my favs since the album came out, it hasn't changed since September 9th and I presume it won't change at all. They're two of the best songs this band has written in the past two decades.

PS. Cedarwood Road accoustic? You must be kidding. The electric version kicks the acoustic one in the butt every time
  7. gotta say I was a bit disappointed (if that's even the correct word to use in this context) to see what SOI songs other members here liked or named as their favourites in comparison to my own. but then I thought hey, that just shows how good this album is, that there is such a variety of "favourite songs" among us listeners.

Exactly my thoughts, with that couple of modifications...
(obviously I agree with you about SOI too)
  9. The whole album is still very 'listenable' after 7-8 months.

My top tracks are EBW, Sleep Like a Baby Tonight, The Troubles and The Crystal Ballroom
  10. I repeat that Cedarwood Road has been played quite some times last weeks over here, so could be new single. Same thing happened with EBW.
  11. News item with further details:
    http://www.showbiz411.com/2015/04/23/u2-video-song-for-someone-will-be-mini-film-starring-woody-harrelson

Video for Song for Someone will be a mini-film starring Woody Harrelson...sounds similar to the EBW idea.

Woody Harrelson will star in a mini movie video U2 is making as they gear up for their big world tour. The group has chosen “Song for Someone” from their iTunes album “Songs of Innocence” which caused such a stir last year. Vincent Haycock will direct Woody as a character named Aaron Brown, presumably not the former CNN anchor. Aaron is being sent to prison in the video. There’s also an 18 year old going to jail named Jonathan. We will also see Aaron’s dad, described as a “shell of a man.” There will also be prison guards, and other prisoners. It’s sort of “Shawshank Redemption” with music!
  12. Sounds really overdone and lame..maybe I'm being too negative lately, but what the hell is U2 doing with the promotion of this album? Say what you want about this rumour or the EBW video, but they aren't working. As far as I can tell no one is talking about this stuff apart from U2 fans. They need to take a leaf out of the books of younger bands and start making appearances on shows that young people watch, or something, hell Im not a promoter.
