I think it could happen, and with it Vertigo too.
That way there'll be no song played at every show since its debut (COBL and One lost that status on the first two shows of the tour )
  3. I'm listening to Elevation live in São Paulo 2006... I can't get enough of this song, the energy is freakin awesome

Half of SOI is still going strong!!

    ---

JRamone is still my least favourite track on SOI, but I like it as opener. People don't know the lyrics but at least they singalong the wooh-ooh's.

Also, the first handful of songs in the show are played like if they were in a pub at the beginning of their career, so nothing fancy like screens and I'd discard songs like E-Better from that part of the show aswell (I guess Vertigo riff sound a bit punkish so it can make the cut)
  5. So, so happy that One finally got dropped. A statistic-breaker I've been waiting for for a long time!
  6. Have you listened to night 2 yet, Matt? It sounded so good. They just need to play it every now and again to prevent it from becoming tedious. As I said in the Vancouver topic, it's amazing how good it sounds when you don't hear it every night.

So U2, don't play One tonight.
  7. I did listen to that performance of it, and thought it wasn't bad. It's not that I dislike the song, it's just a shame that it has become so boring.

The few shows I saw it on during the 360 Tour were thankfully amazing renditions, I thought. And I thought a lot of the Vertigo Tour performances were great too!

    It is simply too frequent.
  8. Imagine...the house lights go down, and quietly, "Ba-ba-babara, Santa Barbara..." repeats over and over, swelling and crescendoing while the one light hangs over the stage, and then

    BOOM!

The stage lights kick on as the drums kick in, Bono is jumping in front of the crowd...they could do great with that as the opener. Especially at these next batches of shows.

Would be awesome, but they probably won't drop their opening song already.

I'm curious to see what they will do in the middle of the set, the AOH, Desire etc. part. Won't be suprised if Staring At The Sun (maybe in Florida, sunshine state ?) or The Ground Beneath Her Feet will show up there in one of these shows.
  10. Keep in mind Bart, COBL was dropped as the Vertigo Tour opener in favor of Love & Peace after just two shows as well. Obviously they went with COBL after testing both, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see a bit of experimentation in the next few shows.

    We'll see!
  11. They needa bring Zoo Station back, that screen is begging for it. Seeing Bono silhouettes kicking out like the ZooTv opening would be awesome.

Also (this could be too OTT) but it would be a good way to connect the innocence with experience stages. "Time is a train..." and all that.

The thought of this just gave me legitimate chills.
