  1. I can't wait. My right to an opinion will be restored then.
  2. Added another recording to our show page. Quite good but the first one is the best.

Yep, impressive... And a totally unrelated matter altogether.
I think most of us are pretty sick of the constant comparisons between Bruce Springsteen/Pearl Jam and U2 to be honest They're totally different bands with totally different approaches to their live shows and totally different crowd types, so the comparison is absurd.

    This!!
  4. I don't think I agree. I like the second better for it has a more direct sound (added with a little extra bass and its almost perfect!). The first one does have more dynamics, that's for sure. But it also has a little more hollow sound - maybe this one is better on the headphones (but beware of the explosion!)

EDIT + the 2nd has intermission! (in my book, "mixter" = recorder 1, as it was shared first on dime; "usc1995" = recorder 2).
  5. So I see the bitching about the set has moved on to bitching about the bitching !!
  6. be thankful that u2 is even touring after all the shit the band has had the last year, get over the setlist and be happy there on the stage!!!

Yeah, the thing with the intermission is, is that it's officially not allowed on some sites since it streams an official song. Ah well.

You are happy to put in a review for one of the recordings to change the rating
  8. That's not the point.

Bruce / PJ believe shows have to be one way and enjoy doing then that way and all their live have done it that way.

U2 believe shows have to be a different way and enjoy doing it that other way and all their lives have been doing it like that.

The fact that many people enjoys both styles and that they're all successful just proves that both styles are valid, not that they're interchangeable.

What do you mean? Because it's The Wanderer?
  10. Yep, it's basically the same as recording U2's album with a microphone and then putting it for download on the internet [legally speaking]. But we accept it for now, unless someone makes trouble of course.

I picked up the special U2 Rolling Stone- it's great to read the old interviews from just before and just after I was born especially- but in one article Bono talks about pursing theatre before being in the band and how a U2 show is very similar to theatre, with a beginning, middle and end. It's interesting to see that they were thinking about this back then (and even before as Bono admits, though he goes on to say it is most evident on The Joshua Tree Tour).
