1. anyone who has been to the shows this tour, i just wanna ask how loud was it ?
  2. So, I LOVE the Wanderer intermission and I really want to have it on the live recordings, BUT with live mixlr & periscope streams in the middle of the CET night, it is THE moment for a 2ND cup of "Joe" (=coffee)* ...!

*Yes, Holy Joe is an ode to coffee
(cf. "Totally messed up in everybody's life / Closer than ever to everybody's wife...")

Good point! And although he's a legend overseas as well, it is probably not the same. In this respect I think Leonard Cohen is much more "continental" (still born in Montréal, Canada...)

Anyway, Neonlights (by U2) is undeniable European and might also work very well as intermission.

BTW: I propose to call the European intermission "intermezzo"
  4. I really don't think that Johnny Cash nationality would matter at all, after all even if you don't have any idea of who the hell is Johnny Cash, you do know The Wanderer which is a U2 song...

Good point...glad you are joining in... But what are your thoughts regarding the question whether The Wanderer can be replaced by another song, considering your narrative theory.
And if yes, by which song(s)?

    everybody would hate this, but...

if you want a U2 album song to be played in studio version, that reflects on how he/they learned from their innocence mistakes and faced their experience stage of their career, learning to hide their true feelings, to talk like this and act like that, there's a perfect song for that one album before The Wanderer's, although it would break everybody's hearts since it wouldn't be played live.

Don't meant nationality on its own, but more the fact that Cash is a real American symbol, or at least in my pov. I don't really care if they keep it, I think Johnny Cash is cool (the man himself and the intermission).
And I seriously doubt that more then 50% will know The Wanderer is an U2 song.

Acrobat as start of the Experience part could work really well indeed, but it would be better if U2 played it live
  8. Stop the press.

Bono is spotted WITHOUT blond hair.

  10. I can't see the wanderer changing as the intermission song. The show goes in two parts, first half, innocence, second, experience. The wanderer even has a line in it saying 'I went out there searching for experience'
  11. That's very good Bono with a normal hair, this is ca. 1999-2000
