This model has no aperture priority mode which means in changing light conditions the camera won't be able to determine the best exposure. You'll have to do it manually. Which is okay, I shot all of 2011 on manual with my D80.

For 106.00 I'd say go for it. Do some local test shows and low light scenarios before the main event.
    Thanks for answering!

The thing that I'm mostly worried about this camera is the image stabilization that is sensor shift instead of lens... I have the cheap seats for this tour so do you think I might have blurry images?

In Portugal I'll have to pay around 160€ or so... although I'd be willing to go around 200€ but not much more.
  2. I go to a LOT of concerts and I'm more than happy with my Nikon Coolpix P7100, it's compact enough to get into shows with no trouble and it records amazing video (great stabilization) and takes good enough pics. Here are the specs: http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/coolpix/p/p7100/spec.htm Of course my bridge Nikon P500 takes better concert pics due to its larger sensor and lens, but it's much bigger and it got confiscated at the entrance to a few shows (notably Muse 2012, which I then had to film with my phone)
  3. I bought a new camera a couple of weeks ago, great moment to make a choice as there are so many great mirrorless cameras on the market. I first wanted to buy a DSLR but they are usually so big that you (or at least, I..) end up bringing them only to special occasions and you usually cannot get them into concerts.

I ended up buying a Sony Alpha 5100, very happy with it so far. Very compact and great quality. Looking forward to figuring out how it works during U2 shows. It's also quite easy to use for photography noobs like me.
  4. Sony's Alpha and Cyber Shot series are great cameras. You did a nice buy there, I'm sure it will pay off soon

I'm just a Nikon boy since I can remember
  5. I'm a Nikon boy too.
