  1. True about the sloppiness. But there's something to be said for how U2 knows how to put on a really good polished show too.

And yes, like Bad, I think everyone should get to experience Shine Like Stars night after night.

by the time they are finished with NA leg, they'll be on all cylinders.

I really believe that Bono is still not close to 100% tour ready and that his injuries are effecting his stamina. And you gotta figure there are still meds involved too, right? Maybe?

Aw shoot. What do I know... I'm not even sure if I just effect when I shoulda used affect. LOL
  4. right. I can't stop singing/huming that snippet today.
  5. Me neither!

And yeah I keep forgetting about that injury...on Monday night he did the run to the E stage thing either during Streets or WOWY and it was like "THERE'S the Bono we all know!!"
  6. North America 1 will be the warm up leg. They'll hit Europe in the fall, and as always there will be full HD broadcasts and recordings via satellite or FM and they'll give us North Americans a warm up for North America Leg 2 when they hit top flight.

    Exactly.
  8. Tim Neufeld with a different and very favourable view on Toronto 2.

    Can't say I agree.
  9. My guess is that he doesn't know it.

To be honest, I didn't care about it at all before joining the U2 internet community madness. It was just the couple of lines he sang in the R&H movie but nothing more, I didn't knew it was a thing. Obviously since then now I consider it a holy snippet and a couple of lines powerful enough to make any show special, and right now I'm like flowerchild singing it all day.

But... I don't think that they are aware of how special it is for many fans throughout the world. Most likely they were surprised that people (in Toronto) cared that much about it and probably right now they're thinking something like "our fans in Toronto are weird, they're really into Shine Like Stars... next time we're there let's sing it again"
  10. I can just remember the passion and uplifting feeling of it from Zoo TV when it was Shine Like Stars into Love Will Tear Us Apart it was a feeling of transcendence and it made the hairs on my neck stand up every time... I can still close my eyes and feel it!
  11. Love the snippet too...but I like Exodus in ISHFWILF even more...
