  1. Hey all,

    I was engaged in an interesting conversation the other night about how songs are transformed from a composition standpoint as tours pass. In particular the guy beside me really liked how EBTTRT was rearranged for this tour, and I had to agree. The drumming cadence completely remakes the song for me in many ways.

    So with that in mind, here's a couple of my faves...

    first and foremost, I've spent every tour anxiously awaiting what Edge's solo from Bullet would sound like. Ever sine he took the opportunity to step away from the album cut, THIS has always been the standard for me.

    My second choice may get me some square looks, but did anyone else love the electric-tinged Popmart version of Streets? Probably just me on that one.

  2. Good examples. I like Streets in Popmart. Third favorite version after 87/89 versions.
    Running To Stand Still in ZooTV comes to mind.
  3. The Fly during Elevation tour was probably what catapulted me into being a U2 fan. I remember spinning that Boston DVD to death when I was a seven-year-old because I always wanted to hear it. To this day, The Fly is still my favourite U2 song.

  5. Oh yeah. Solid for sure. Long harmonic intro/outro was great, especially on the Euro legs
  6. You may not agree, but Sunday Bloody Sunday acoustic with Edge only in the last legs of Popmart was incredible for me. New life to the song.

    YES! Actually, a lot of the newer recreations of the Achtung tracks have been great. I was over the moon to see Ultraviolet make it in last tour as that's a personal fave

    100% agree. Raw, emotional, just everything that song needs to be at that moment in time. Brilliant

    Definitely, the Achtung songs always seem to get the best treatment when reworked. Just wait until Acrobat finally comes along...

    I know it's acoustic, but I've always been a massive fan of Stay in that format – especially this version from Mexico.

  11. It still amazes me how many people don't recognise the intros to Pride and Bad and only click when the album version kicks in !!

    Absolutely. A lot of the acoustic remakes over time have been good. One of the things that donned on me as they fumbled with the piano last night during Edge's "technical difficulties" was that Who's gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" should be due to come back, especially as a piano track (or perhaps North and South of the River a la the Omagh tribute
