*Recording location: Sec 208, (UPPER DECK, LAST ROW)

    *ORIGINAL Notes:
"the show is a phenomenon. the recording? Ehhhh. It is a fair
categorization of the event but not a fantastic recording.
the sound was pretty bass-y but the upper registers were kinda....
the word that comes to mind is 'brittle'. It sounded clear but
from where we were, kinda thin- ish and, well, 'brittle'.
I taped 5/22 from the lower bowl but that recording was overdriven
by bass and at the apex of the stage, we had lots of reverb.
So this show was a 'lessons learned' of sorts, and I had a 40hz
LowCut filter. And on that note, "Joey Ramone" experiences an
    auto-filter bump at 01:09. "The Wanderer" is clipped at 4:26 - 4:29
due to me bumping the recorder against the seat. I hope you dig the
show and hope you get to see the show!"

    REMASTER notes:
Why remaster a "not fantastic recording"? Why remaster an excellent recording!
But to answer the first question truthfully, I remastered this one because I saw
potential in it. Or, to put it differently, in my opinion this recording wasn't fairly
represented as it would already benefit from some easy volume adjustments
    and balancing.
The "brittle-ness" the taper mentioned was countered to some extent by applying
a generic broadband equalization from my (old-skool) PristineSounds.
Additional equalization was used to further smoothen this listen.

The result is a "bootleg" with a good to excellent sound - especially
when played over speakers or on car stereo! - with an enjoyable audience.
Screamers are absent and only now and then clappers get close, but (almost)
    never too intrusive.

This second Phoenix show includes the rare Miracle Drug +
When Love Comes To Town on the e-stage.

    Enjoy

PS: check also the updated "first" page of this topic (all BG i+e bootlegs are gathered here).
  8. Fingers crossed for MSG3 (7/22/15)!
  9. As well as for 07/23/15!
  10. 7/27 transcends all previous MSG shows. Two Hearts/Troubles trumps Fallon AND Gaga!
  11. All I can say about this is "WOW". Seriously folks? Low fi recordings? I know this site goes with lossy MP3's but this is another level.
Hoserama expressed most of my feelings on this. Maybe release these if no other source shows up. I can sort of see, but remastering them also. OK
Also LOVE when someone says "hoarding". Look up the definition. "someone that collects and/or archives many objects". Audio archivist is more accurate!
  12. Are we back on this again?
