  1. By scampers I of course meant scalpers...
  2. Thanks, MoFo. If it's meant to be...

I did get to see them in San Jose, which was my first time in awhile as I missed the last two tours. Very moving for me. Want my wife to see them and I'd love to see them again. You never know when it will be the last tour...

Keep checking TM (app) for ticket drops and since you're in town anyway it won't hurt to hang out outside MSG. Just keep your guard up as far as fake tickets. There are legit fans who end up with extras and will sell them for face value outside the venue.
  4. Glenn, my dear, from my 360° experience I can tell you that you always have a chance to get tickets in front of the arena. There are usually always people whose friends cannot come due to work or sickness or no time or whatever, so watch out for people who hold up tickets for sale in their hands. BUT - like Nick said above - stay away from the scalpers, who are always around trying to use people's need to get inside with horrific high prices! I remember when I was in Dublin in 2009, I had a spare ticket for the first show at Croke Park. I asked people on the streets passing me by if someone still needed a ticket, for face value of course. I was surrounded and followed by many scalpers who offered me, what, 10 or 20 Euro maximum (I refused), and I saw them an hour later selling fake (!) tickets to desperate fans for more than 100 Euro. (in the end, I gave my spare ticket to a fan for free, his happy face still makes me smile today ).

bottom line. chances for real tickets in front of the arena are there. Just try and you might get in. Good luck!!
  5. Thank you, Mac! We'll give it a try.

Flashback: My first and most enduring U2 moment was Bono grabbing the War flag/pole and running like a madman along the first level of the L.A. Sports Arena. At some point he came to the end of the road and decided to drop down into the crowd some 15 feet below. So amazing and inspiring. Had just started playing bass at that point and U2 was probably the biggest influence on a short but satisfying five year music career. So amazed they're continuing to do it and deliver great songs. No other band ever has done what they've done.

Awesome story. It is amazing that they are still putting out quality material. Yea older bands still tour but their new material usually can hold a candle to their back catalogue. I truly feel SOI is a top 5 release for them
  7. Plus if u tear the corner slightly , real ones are blue paper inside. Learned that from getting burned 8 years ago. I'm out this thread! Don't wanna run into any sound check spoilers. The set is so fixed I don't wanna ruin the 2 surprises. See ya!

I turn 53 this week and my wife and I are here from Texas for the weekend hoping to find two tickets, preferably GA. If anyone has advice on how to get FV tix from real fans please let me know. May walk down to MSG to see what's up down there. Apologies if this isn't the right place for this posting. -Glenn
If you can get to the MSG box office you might have a decent chance at GA floor tickets. I've heard they've been dropping more at the box offices on most dates. Seems to have been true for all 4 Boston dates. Sadly, they never showed up on the TicketMaster app so I never got them and couldn't afford to skip out on work for the day for show 4.

    Good luck!
  9. I travelled from the UK to New York in 2011 wit hno tickets for MSG I bought some off a scalper outside and we went to the box office to have them scanned before i purchased then to show they were not fake.....
