  1. ...like bringing on stage a woman from Japan, dressed in a kimono:

    ...no?

  2. I reckon you must be on some sort of wind up mission to get a reaction

Such a shame she has to come up dressed liked this at a U2 concert, don't really get why she has to come up and why she has to be half naked (not that I have a problem with half naked girls , but it doesn't add anything)

Other than that, very boring setlist.

If you don't have a problem with it (aside from your own pleasure), why is it a shame?

Sure, but still. I also don't see any link between Gaga and U2. Like I said, she does have talent and really can sing but why does she needs to come on stage at an U2 show? I would rather have heard something they haven't played before or something.

I believe Bono mentioned her being an advocate in the fight against AIDS, didn't he? There's your link...

And if you believe the conspiracy theory loons, Bono and Gaga are both illuminati, so there's that link.
  5. if there'll be a decent bootleg of the show, this might be the NY night I'm downloading. gonna wait for the rest of the NY run though.
  6. Mixed feelings. The band were super tight last night. Crowd was the best so far. Really loud and into the entire show. Raised by Wolves is becoming the standout new song. The crowd was singing it louder than I've ever heard. The real letdown, as with most of the tour, was the complete lack of balls on the e stage. Elevation sucks when you're waiting for a new song but it absolutely brought the house down. Big let down with the repeats from n1 but what can u do. I'm going tonight thanks to Dylan who hooked up my wife and I with extra tickets. He truly is fan of the year to me! If the play volcano and stuck tonight I'll be really disappointed. Even though volcano kicks ass live, im looking for new songs.

  7. Not at all. It's brilliant. 8:20 start time. Allows for a 2:30 min show. I just think they're trying to make this run special. It's just not the way us diehards want it. Special to us is whipping out songs that would drive us insane. Not bringing out gaga. To me that gets the casuals (average Pop music fan) excited.

Even the first portion of the second half was still set at HMTMKMKM, WOWY, and MOS. It wasn't until the later portion of the second NA leg that we saw Ultraviolet and HMTMKMKM on rotation.

The root of this issue is Streets being the penultimate song.

No offense but do you work for U2? I love the positivity and all but every negative comment that comes up you argue. It must be exhausting. No? I'm not trying to be mean but sometimes you gotta except everyone has diff opinions.
  9. Because it just doesn't fit, its strange and not really U2 2015 like. But we don't need to make it any bigger than it is, its just a choice which I don't understand (this goes for some other parts of the show too)

And it's a shame (which is too big of a word for this) that the rather play an imo very boring song with Lady Gaga than suprise us and play something that isn't ordinary.

I hope you get the new songs. I'm still holding out hope, as I've always thought the last few nights would be where it happens, if it happens. 5 nights is the longest run they've done so far, so I'm still holding out hope... MHO says if tonight follows suit, they are just going stick with the usual set...

But I'm hoping you get Two Hearts tonight!
  11. Every single song this tour (except the SOI tracks of course) has been played on 360, 2 from Vertigo (Gloria and Electric Co). The only exceptions were the rare and quickly dropped When Love Comes To Town and October. So minus TWO songs that were dropped super quick, every song being played have been regulars for 10 years. That's pretty frustrating. At least 360 gave us Ultraviolet, The Unforgettable Fire, and shit they even played MLK, and of course towards the end we got Zooropa, The Fly, Scarlet, and at the time Even Better was amazing. I'm not saying have a dream setlist where they play Acrobat, the whole second side of Joshua Tree, all of POP, and every song they have never played live, but fucking-a play at least one song that you haven't been hashing out over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again regularly for a decade straight... (I don't want to take anything away from October (which I doubt will ever be played again), Gloria, or Electric Co. They are great songs, but Gloria has only been played a few times, and Electric Co is usually every other night. You might get a show where you don't get to hear any songs that were played prior to 360 and I attended one of those shows. The new songs are incredible and I'm happy they're playing more than 2 or 3 of them like what happened at the end of 360, but give us something... anything...) Rant over, sorry! haha
