Tour: Innocence and Experience tour
Songs played: 27

  1. Between Electric Co. and Out Of Control, which song sounds more out of control?

HINT: It's not Out Of Control

Anyways, I'm always jazzed to hear stuff off the first two albums. Well Scarlet was kinda meh but any of the real songs are a blast.
Absolutely. I enjoyed it tonight, although I've been really appreciating the rotation they had going. I still haven't heard out of control enough this tour.. And then Gloria came along! Now that's a real gem. They could play it 23 times tomorrow night and I'd still want more. What a ripper.

I guess what's the most disappointing thing about the last couple nights is that Boston and Chicago had 4 and 5 nights and still got songs like California and the crystal ballroom played.. 7 nights in New York and they've decided to go back to elevation and ordinary love three times, desire and angel of Harlem twice while leaving California and the crystal ballroom out. It would have been nice for them to at least run through all the other songs they've played recently before then going back and repeating those others.. But again, it all goes back to the rule with U2. Expect nothing great.
  5. And you said I was jaded. Enjoy it for what it is.

Taping helps keep the mind focused and into the show. Plus you're being productive.
  6. Well that's just pure laziness not to play other tunes and to repeat the same 2 again. I really really don't understand. Would love to chat with them and see their reasoning behind Elevation and Ordinary Love again.

it really wouldn't surprise me if we get Angel and Desire for the last show.

I love this band to bits, but the lack of variation over these New York gigs is astonishing.

I know there have been static set lists in the past, but they have never bothered me as I feel there has been a good balance of either new songs or a few rarities in there to keep people happy.

The set list for this tour has really got me down. No California as a staple, no Volcano, no Troubles. Yes they have all been played but seriously, seriously neglected.

I love the first half of the show, but skip most songs on the second half when listening.

I suppose that's my fault for listening to U2 every day for the past 22 years.

Please U2, shake it up for us a bit more.
  7. Well that wasn't very exciting. All or nothing tomorrow?
  8. The 8 shows buyer's remorse is strong here. Look at it this way though. You got Jimmy Fallon + The Roots, Lady Gaga, and Paul Simon (so far) and in LA, we got Bono impostor and chubby Elvis.

Guest spots do nothing for me.
  10. I personally thought chubby Elvis brought something to the show because he got the crowd to sing Can't Help Falling In Love while Bono was stalling for Edge dealing with the e-stage piano not working.
