Thought I'd move topics as we were very non-JT!!

Sure beats the 'stick of gum' that is the shuffle I have. Mind, that was considered a 'Wow!' thing at the time...

Still do; just don't use it for music much as my 2nd gen Nano fills that job.

I read a rumour that the shuffle was going to get binned next year as they can't really drop the price much more (Apple generally don't sell 'cheap' products) and there isn't a lot else they can do to upgrade it. I suppose they can re-invent its appearance (not sure how though, pretty perfect now in my opinion) and give more memory for the same price.

Might start to encroach on the Nano though if they change it too substantially.

well they did ditch the 2gig Nano so they should have immediately introduced a 2gig shuffle to keep it on a level par with the Creative Stone

    We're all double posting!!

They should and hopefully they will. It would be a shame to lose such a useful little player. I don't know precisely but I think it sells well.
  7. firmware 1.1 for iPod Classics has been released and I won't be touching it. Several bricking incidents and no real improvements
  8. Poor Creative of me...it already has 5GB of U2 on it...and increasing.

it's a lovely thing. I've been tempted for a while now. I would use it for videos just but I can't justify it. The screens only an inch bogger than my Classic
