1. Please you lot don't start this shit again, don't bite the hands that feed, the iem tapers in this thread have given so much to everyone. The last thing you wanna do is piss them off, I dunno about the rest of you lot but I enjoy listening to what they tape. Don't ruin that for everyone else
  2. An interesting listen. Cheers to the taper.
  3. I appreciate the work of the tapers and others, who made recordings available for us
    So why criticize them?

If you don't like a recording just delete it.
  4. I think there's a difference between criticizing the person and the sound quality. A movie reviewer doesn't really care about the personal attitudes of the director, but rather the quality of the movie. That's my criticism--I'm arguing the sound quality is subpar. Or at least, disappointing considering the potential of the source material. Just one man's opinion.

And never a dull moment with Olli66...strong believer of sharing the free love...well maybe not the free part.

  5. lol, i still wonder why he's not banned from every community out there with his shenanigans ...

So we have no download at all?

yup that's exacly what i wrote, i don't see a problem with that, no contradiction there.
having crappy sources out there the quickest possible for the sake of being the first makes better recordings pretty much useless.

    need an exemple ?
    https://u2torrents.com/t?id=6981 : wowy28's zoom h2 internal mics : posted 1 day after the show : 1767 downloads
    https://u2torrents.com/t?id=6989 : mlk's at853 recording : posted 1 week after the show : 1147 downloads
whose's recording would you rather listen to ? at least 600 people don't have a choice because an obvisouly inferior recording was posted quickly and they didn't bother downloading it because of that.
  7. Yeah, but then you're focusing on the people who have a very middling definition of quality. They just want a single recording of the show, and get the first one in their excitement. You'll never win with them, and it's their own choice that they didn't bother to download the superior recording.

Like I said, good things happen to those who wait. Sometimes its one week, one year, ten years, etc.

Why not? - Even a mof has the freedom of speech even it's clearly revealing the real attitude of some (many?) people here, he is just speaking frankly, thank you very much for presenting your interesting thoughts Mr. O.
No IEM's to download?- Well what a pity, that must be clearly the sign of the end of the days and the emergence of the Antichrist
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, so I don't really bother the sheer amount of "quality" recordings (including cellphone streams) at all and I think Mrs. B will also take time to put her strong efforts in this particular IEM / Aud matrix to fulfill the highest audiophile demands. (even not welcomed by the usual naggers - don't be so cruel to her)

In my opinion this is worse than selling them. If they are sold fans and people who would like to have them can get them at least. The IEM tapers will never find the time to master all their recordings professionally. And the ones they do work on they often don't share. So in my opinion absolutely the right move to sell the recording to a bootleg company. I always bought silvers and I will always do if it is the best version around and at a reasonable price. $200 is obviously not. Selling the IEMs to a company means expenses are covered, money been made and hopefully more shows will be attended, more recordings being put out in the future. Win-win.

Doesn't surprise me a seller, is in favor of bootlegs! (Obviously)

And Julien, with the hoarding/collecting every show mentality, there will be ZERO issues finding the better source 20 years from now. I recently realized there was a better elevation era recording that I had not downloaded, and wanted to listen to...it was a 30 second search to find it, and get it re-seeded. That argument, might have held water 20 years ago, but it doesn't today, and it certainly won't hold water in the future.
  10. Oh, and if someone's going to make a buck off of selling their recording, where's the band's cut....? I just wanted to share what was shared with me...not be "first" or whatever. If big girl makes it sound better, I will gladly and thankfully give it a listen. I am appreciative of all the tapers, remasterers and those who share the recordings
  11. I think this recording is fantastic, I get to hear the Moment of Surrender snippet in Bad in superb quality. You do not realise how much I love that snippet. One of the best.
