ps: Sergio, I really hope I can meet you at Dublin 1. I'll answer your facebook message soon, but big thanks in advance, my friend
Hey Aidan! I'm flying in the evening of Wednesday the 25th. How about a beer somewhere late that evening?
  2. But good idea to start a meet-up topic, let's create it

YEAH I was hoping our paths would cross when I leart you were going to Dublin. Thankfully they are! Monday evening pints with Kirsten and my girlfriend, sounds like a magnificent plan doesn't it? Looking forward to your FB message!

  5. best news in the world
  6. I don't know what the truth in this is, or whether Ticketmaster are just holding their cards close to their chest, but someone on the U2 tickets for fans Facebook page has mentioned that they contacted Ticketmaster and they said there would be no more tickets put on sale. I'm sure there will be a hundred or so to sell given the stage, but there might be a slight truth in that.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all gone. I'd have expected them to hold a few dozen each night at least to try and fight the scalpers.

A nights accommodation saved at least if I don't get sorted for Dublin 4.
  8. Its quite certain that there are still lots of tickets allocated for family and friends, and some might opt out in the end which then can be put on sale.

Given the small GA area, possibly the smallest this tour, I don't see many more GAs to drop.

Smallest GA? Some people say it's even the largest GA this tour. Wikipedia also mentioned that they can create space for 8000(!!!) people standing on the floor.
On first sight, GA looks tiny on a lot of pics, but a lot of pictures are misleading because they don't show the arena with FULL standing capacity. The lower 20 rows are retractable to create extra space on the floor, and on most pics you see the arena with the lower rows, so with a tiny floor.

I've found some footage of the One Direction ( )-show in 3arena earlier this month, which has a similar setup as the U2-shows: full GA-floor (so the stands without the 20 lowest rows) with mainstage + catwalk + B-stage. As you can see, despite the catwalk and B-stage, there are still a lot of people on the floor and crowd looks very packed:

Thanks! Didn't realise they could retract the seats.

  11. After all I'm very glad I have seats instead of GA. I would not like to spend most of my time in Dublin waiting in GA-queue, and with this GA-floor, it doesn't look like showing up when doors go open, will guarantee a good spot only a few rows away from stage or catwalk...
  12. And due to this large GA-floor, I think we can expect a (lastminute) ticket drop for GA once stage has been set up.
