    The Oldplaying is strong here.

  5. I'm listening to it now, haven't heard anything else than that single that was posted here a couple of weeks ago. I'm curious to hear if it's anything good
  6. Let's begin positive: It's only 50 minutes No that's a bad joke, serious: Up&Up is a good song.
All the other songs aren't impressive for me and some of those really are just annoying. All by all, another disappointing album.
  7. I started to listen to the album and was like: WOWW great bass Guy, great lyric

But now I'm at the ninth song and praying for the end
  8. Opinions about Coldplay are fairly biased on this site, so I'll still be waiting for the release.
  9. Up&Up is nice enough partly thanks to Noel but overall it's a dissapointing album
  10. ...what do you mean Taylor Swift isn't doing the halftime show.
  11. Listened to the new album today, or at least the parts I didn't skip.

The title track is the only decent song and that's because it reminds me a bit of ASOH. It's no secret to anyone who likes both bands that Chris Martin is a big fan of that song, so it doesn't come as a surprise.

The rest of the album is sort of like the parts I disliked about Mylo Xyloto, but this time it's nearly an album's worth. The songs are WAY too overdone in production, there isn't any balls to the music, and it's trying way, way too hard to be mainstream and relevant. Thank God that in U2's quest for relevance they haven't gone this far off the deep end. They try to be relevant by making good and innovative music, not copying what was being done a year or two ago. AHFOD sounds like it was made in a vacuum and the boys were listening to club music circa 2012 while they were touring Mylo Xyloto. Hymn for the Weekend is especially barf-worthy.

Seriously, I love this band, but it's like they ran into a fork in the road after Viva la Vida and the path try chose has been going downhill ever since. Ghost Stories was more interesting than this new album. I don't care what others think of the song, the last really interesting thing they did was put out Midnight as a first single (too bad the album that followed didn't have the same intrigue - at all).

There are parts of the new album that actually sound like lullabies (Amazing Day) - for a band that once wrote songs like Politik, Talk, Spies, etc (not even naming their best songs) this album is just damn depressing.
