1. Oh great! It seems Reapers has been cut from the last couple of shows. IMO the best song on the album. Uggghhhh.
  2. Is that the one with the big growl/scream near the end? If so, it is indeed a good one and this tour is going from bad to worse (imo).

How has the tour been going so far?
  4. From the looks of the sets, very meh. Hit or miss. I'm seeing them next Monday and I am hoping that they work in some more OoS songs...

    Tonight in Boston:

Drones (Does this even count as a song?)
    Psycho
    Dead Inside
Hysteria (w/ Interlude & Heartbreaker + Back In Black riffs outro)
Map of the Problematique (w/ Who Knows Who riff outro)
    Isolated System (Shortened)
    The Handler
SMBH (w/ Voodoo Child riff intro)
    Starlight (w/ Prelude)
    Apocalypse Please
    Munich Jam
    Madness
    Resistance
    Reapers (w/ JFK)
    Time Is Running Out
    Uprising
    The Globalist
    Drones (Reprise)
    Mercy
Knights of Cydonia (w/ MWAH intro)

Counting out both playings of Drones, the shortened version(?) of Isolated System, and the jam song, thats only 16 songs starting to wonder if I should have spent the money... Will report back after the show next week.
  5. Yes, that's lame. Not regretting to say I haven't bought or even looked at tickets for the May shows in Madrid. I might get some if a friend can't make it or something like that, but I'm not pumped at all for this tour. And the bar is set pretty high after Belfast show last year, which makes it even worse... Oh well. Looking forward to read your thoughts about the show, Andrew!
  6. Tonight has been a historic low on Origin Of Symmetry songs... An astonishing total of ZERO tunes from the album their fans valuate the most.

    Well done guys, well done.
  7. It was an entertaining show (the Toronto one I attended a week and a half ago) but it did seem a little too much like a "performance" as oppose to a concert - if that makes any sense.

They did get to hear Citizen Erased which was very cool but the crowd was absolutely dead during it - same goes for Apocalypse Please (very little enthusiasm there). Instead, everyone went nuts for songs like Uprising and Madness. I actually enjoyed hearing these newer songs but to omit all of Plug In Baby, New Born, Bliss, Stockholm Syndrome, AND Butterflies from a single show is somewhat criminal....and, of course, the one show decide to drop wonderful Map of the Problematique is the one I'm attending.

At least I didn't have to suffer through Feeling Good. Micheal Buble ruined that song for me years ago.
  8. ...oh, and I know Starlight is a somewhat polarizing song amongst Muse fans (I happen to like it) but it should be saved for the encore. The crowd lapped that one up, too.

Gigantic letdown. Glad I sold my tickets. The pre tour shows were phenomenal but the actual tour sucks (setlist wise)

This is actually quite interesting because I felt some aspects of IE felt more "performance" oriented in that the visuals were prominent features of the show. Of course, it never felt like the quality of the music was ever compromised by the IE setup. It's really a shame that this tour is getting such mixed responses, especially after most people generally enjoyed The 2nd Law tour (even though the album was nearly forgettable).

Oh, I had similar feelings about the U2 shows I attended - especially during the second night. At least U2 did a better job of mixing the old with the new.
  12. I still can't get over the fact they are only playing 16 songs. That's even worse than a Coldplay set, especially given how much these tickets cost.
