1. Ha! Seattle. The city that destroyed bands like GNR!
  2. like but not GnR ... they were in pieces inside in 1992-93 but not for the world
  3. The interest in the band seem to decline during those years - especially by the end of 1993. I will concede, however, they were so big at the beginning of the nineties that it would have been impossible to maintain that level of success even if "grunge" hadn't come along.
  4. very few bands can claim that level of success at some point of the career.
if Axl. Slash and Duff had been a real band ("friends") they would have said their own, not meaning only for the music; with the physiological up and down of course.
but with the ifs and the buts you don't win championships, do you? hehe
    i bet my cents however
  5. interestingly they are unique ... I don't remember a band before or after that had a sound like they had. and even what axel called gnr afterwards needed 3 guitarres to get that sound ...
  6. Yeah, the sound of Appetite For Destruction was like no other. Heck, even "Patience" (from Lies) seemed a big step ahead of other rock ballads like Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" or Warrant's "Heaven."
  7. Which is the better song.. November Rain or Estranged?
  8. Easy answer for me: Estranged.

In fairness to November Rain, however, it suffered greatly from overexposure.
  9. I have to agree. I personally prefer "Estranged" too. It's very much a Slash song
  10. Estranged. Only time I really like November Rain is live when the guitarist(s) stand on the piano and play and the pyro goes off.
  11. An underrated gem, IMO.
