1. Interview with Paco Elevation (the e-stage kid in LA and Belfast, and who also periscoped a couple of shows) and who acquired a bit of celebrity status in México about a week or so after Belfast ("coming up next: a mexican kid played guitar on stage with U2").

-The second time you were on the stage, did he remembered your name?
-No... the thing is that Bono forgets too many things...

It's in spanish, but some of the stuff he said was mildly interesting...

...like Brian Murphy (Bono's bodyguard) being the one (in Paris) who remembered and identified them and then reminded Bono on several occasions who they were ("they're the kids that are in every show"); also Bono telling Brian that he made sure that they went up on the stage for Paris (3?), but that couldn't happen because you know.

For the last show in Belfast is Brian again the one who reminded Bono about Paco and his brother, and Bono told their dad that "don't worry, tonight is your kids' night!". On the show, Brian told them to put down the sign, that it wasn't needed and they were going up on the stage, as he asked for a couple of guitars to the staff.

They really don't know how to play guitar, they just had a 2 month crash course on learning how to play four songs (AOH, Desire, AIWIY and Stay).

    Anyway...

  2. What happened to the tour documentary? Or has it already been broadcast somewhere?
  3. It was postponed (presumably to allow for Belfast and Dublin to be documented) but we haven't heard anything since.
  4. I'm putting this here as it is more related to the 2015 tour – specifically the European leg – and stems directly from that. For those that are part of the 'U2 fans get tickets' group, you'll know how it runs. I don't really care if I'm stepping any toes here, but what is the point in this poll? Funny how this group essentially messed up the Dublin 4 GA queue because it has a posse behind it, and I mentioned that two weeks ago. Made me realise during this tour that there's a lot of fans that classify themselves as 'celebrity' and glorify their status to make them look as if they have priority. I've spoken with some people regarding this and it irked them too.

    Don't get me started.
  6. I agree. U2 almost endorsed it, too, with the fans on the stage for Elevation for the HBO broadcast.
  7. That's the main reason I haven't watched that broadcast. It makes me cringe just remembering that.
  8. Nah, you could see the band penning the restraining orders the moment all of them *eventually* left the stage.
  9. Yeah, they did seem to want to get it over with. But the whole voting thing on U2.com, I didn't like that...
  10. Instead of voting for a song fans would like to see live, we got that...
  11. At least we got Spanish Eyes, Zoo Station, Two Hearts a couple times, and October regularly. Makes me wonder what'll be regular in the future leg(s).
  12. I think the voting thing was done by whoever runs U2.com, not U2 themselves. Even in the broadcast, the whole "bring up all the fans" thing did not look natural for the band, probably something someone said would be good for HBO.
