But yeah, we can dream out loud. Who knows, there will be a past-U2 time and I cannot imagine Edge will stop doing that music thing ever.
I actually think arenas would not sell out and he would play small places, which would be great for true fans of course, but it is very sad generally. People simply don't buy tickets unless there is U2 (or other famous "brand") writen on them in big thick letters. I saw Charlie Watts (drummer of the Rolling Stones) with his band 5 times in the past few years. Always less than 500 seats places, always first row, always less than 60 Euro, always an amazing evening. Those places were sometimes not even sold out. When I saw Manzarek and Krieger of The Doors, they played a small club for about 35E!. Also a great gig, also not even a sell out. But print Queen on tickets for May and Taylor show and you will sell out any arena, no problem. I am sure Manzarek and Krieger would do the same, if it said just "The Doors" on the tickets. The same happens with Guns'n'Roses now. The tickets are insanely expensive and the demand is huge. I saw Slash the last year in a small arena (about 4000 people) and again, not even a sell out (tickets were about 55E). As usual - the show was excellent and Myles Kennedy is way better "Axl" than Axl himself right now. But that's unfortunately just the way it works. So back to the topic - based on that I think IF The Edge did a tour, it would probably be mostly clubs, theatres and such (places like the Sistine chapel, you know ), which are really the best places to enjoy music. And I would be there in the first row...

    Edge of Experience, hopefully!
