I think that's the crucial bit there. popmarter's posts have not, in my opinion, been well constructed. They appeared defamatory and almost deliberately negative. Almost if you're so anti- the site then why be here in the first place.

You're welcome to make a point popmarter. We like a good tussle. Just give a little more thought as to how you do it is all I ask.

We're not getting wound up, we're just having a discussion. If you can't agree to disagree, then I suggest you retire from posting. If you look through this board you will see that most of us have very different opinions on things, but we conduct ourselves and these discussions in an adult manner. That's why we have this forum. We're probably the most diverse U2 site on the web, in terms of both our cultures and our views, and I'm proud to be a part of that.

I suggest that you conduct yourself in a mature manner, and respect the other members of the board. If you can't/won't do that, then all parties would benefit if you left.

  4. I wonder whether we need to close this one before it gets out of hand?

    LOL! Ok then. Mine's salted....
  7. once evryone starts getting offensive i'll watch a bit for my own enjoyment then step in. For now though this is an open topic
  8. I'm not gonna close it yet either. Too entertaining... Keep it up guys.
  9. same topic (argument), just a more inviting topic
  10. I don't think they can stop file sharing. Sounds like the anti-tobacco rules, I've heard in Germany people cross the border to smoke in Polland bars (Sorry if I'm quoting the wrong countries), so this are not issues you can arrange by making laws. Beyond the ethical question on if downloading it´s stealing or not, people does. Besides, how can you expect to solve a "crime" with a worser crime like it is to spy people's activities? Seems more like MacGuinnes & co. expect to have permission to do whatever they want and yet remain "ethical". I'm beggining to suspect where Macphisto came from...
