    Funny you should ask this question because they've already got that one solved in The Claw. Using that basic concept, the structure could be modified to support a catwalk screen. However, the screen as we saw it makes no sense in the context of an outdoor setting. In addition to providing a nice catwalk, the screen also serves to divide the two sides of the venue. Thematically, that only really came into play during the intermission and Invisible, but from a visual standpoint having a screen running straight down the middle is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Similarly, The Claw served both a functional and aesthetic purpose during 360 as many of us know very well.

    If the rumors of outdoor shows are true, I will be very surprised and intrigued. I felt the 360 Tour setup was the crux of stage design for an outdoor venue. The design allowed organizers to maximize GA floor space and therefore stadium capacity and the 360 set-up combined with the screens gave unique experiences for both those on the floor and in the stands. Anything they do in a stadium will automatically be compared to 360, so unless they have something that can knock The Claw out of orbit, I'm not sure that's a benchmark they want to go against.
  2. I miss the Claw, But for the screen, i feel it may be a 360 screen again so all the stadium can experience it. My firs I+E show i was at the front of the screen. I couldn't see any visuals for the show at all. Just a thought, i do feel the IE tour is best for indoor.

    I reckon they'd / they'll change the stage completely if / when they hit stadiums.

  7. Fingers crossed for a stadium tour in the US. Probably the only way I could manage to get tix for my four kids to see the band. Arena tix too limited to acquire 6. (And there is no way I'm sending my kids and not going myself...I mean, I love them..but this is U2 we are talking about..)
  9. Ultraviolet... THE highlight of 360 for me. Hold Me Thrill Me was excellent, too, to change things up.

    That's what the I & E tour needs: not necessarily a laser jacket and wheel mic again (though that was awesome) but bringing back an underrated gem like this to start the encore. Something from the 90s again, maybe...

    i thought Invisible was going to have the wheel mic like the music video. I liked that mic.
