1. oh, didn't hear that in the clip! anyway, I see lots of hands up in the air
  2. Kinda hope this IS the song just to piss "U2 fans" off :p

I like what I hear, and I'm as much of a U2 fan as all of you. You say U2 is about rock music. That's just not how I see it. That's a gross oversimplification. U2 is about melodies and rhythm, and writing music that speaks to the soul and mind, no matter what form that takes. It's why when I heard Sunday Bloody Sunday, Your Blue Room, The Unforgettable Fire and the Crazy Tonight remix all at my first live U2 show, I was home.

You're also all basing your negative opinions on a phone recording taken at another artist's concert, not a studio recording released by U2 themselves.

    Relax.

I agree. U2 are all about pushing at what's expected of them - from the very beginning. I'm very, very excited to see whatever they have in store for us next: because whatever it sounds like, I know it will have some great, creative tunes and will - most importantly - have heart and soul in it.

It's quite clear that the version of The Best Thing from Eze is different to what Kygo played; there's more distinguishable bass and drums and a bit more variety in the guitar (before the chorus there's a lower, sweepier EBW sort of sound), but it's still a strongly-dance influenced track.

I think U2 are working in the right direction for 2016-17 and they know EXACTLY what they're doing with this 'leak.'
The 90's remixes were innovative. This remix sounds like the same as many other remixes nowadays.
  5. I just know I am eagerly awaiting whatever they decide to put out.

    Yeah!!!
  7. With this, we really can't be far away from an announcement?
  8. I imagine either Kygo will release this as a single with the original on the SoE without an original single, or Kygo having this on his album with the original from SoE coming out as a single.
  9. My prediction is that they're going to release the remix tonight after the Olympics closing ceremony. Plus today and Bono and Ally's anniversary as well. Also mind Invisible was released on a Sunday
  10. Or imagine Bono coming out to the stage to do the vocals of the song. I can see it happening. And last night was a dress rehearsal sort of thing
