    Wow!

Gary, mate, thank you very much. Very kind.
I wanted to do a decent job of it so you guys' appreciation means a lot.

I like your idea of live feed too!

  3. Awesome show. Makes you want to go and see it again and again.
  4. just come back from seeing it in cardiff and thought it was UNBELIEVABLE well worth the £8 ticket. highlights for me were love and peace and the fly. oh well off to see it again next thursday
  5. Hello all,

I am a new guy to the site. I live in the U.S. and I've been a U2 fan since childhood (I'm almost 30 now). I finally made it to U23D Tuesday evening and loved it! I was waving my arms, singing along (good thing there wasn't anyone sitting near me). It was really one of the greatest things I have ever seen. I know I've read some negative reviews, going on and on about how disappointing it was, but I say screw all of that. I was so into it that I even teared up as soon as Bono started singing. And I LOVED the sequence for Love and Peace when Larry brought the drum out to the walkway and He and Bono rocked the vocals out together. And when Bono put the Coexist bandanna over his eyes and found his way out the the walkway. That's just the spontaneous stuff he does that makes him so creative and full of life.

If I had the money, I would go see it again. Loved it. Two thumbs way up!

  6. The movie itself was awesome, but the audience in the sold-out cinema (Londen BFI Imax) was very boring. Real fans should watch it together, without people 'just passing by' to see it.

  8. going to see it tonight woo
  9. just seen it and its very impressive. i had to beg one of my brothers to go (who aint a u2 fan - at all) and i paid for his ticket. anyway after the film i asked him would he go and see them on their next tour. you know what he said? DEFINITELY.
Highlights for me were sometimes you cant make it on your own and with or without you.
  10. Anyone seen U2 3D in a non-IMAX theater? It is playing at my local theater, but I have to travel about 2 hours to get to an IMAX. Should I make the trip? Watch it at my local theater? Please advise......
  11. I saw it again tonight and what a dissapointment. Not with the film itself but with the cinema. The picture lacked the depth and definition that I witnessed in Dublin last week. I also had to use these fucked up electronic glasses that were terrible. I'm gonna have to make another trip across the border sometime to see it again.

It's playing in your conventional theatre? Have they arranged a temporary 3D setup? If it is temporary then make the trip to the IMAX. My review above was from viewing in a non IMAX theatre. It would probably look just great if its your first time seeing the movie but it just doesn't compare to the real IMAX or Read D theatre. Make the trip.
