  1. good night to all who are leaving
  2. Remember that tonight we're also broadcasting Sarajevo
  3. Definitely worth getting up for it.

I can get out of bed easily for U2 at 6am but for anything else I'm hopeless.
  4. Edge had to change guitar half way through Desire
  5. Bono and Adam Interview...

  6. No idea why they took this gig.
  7. My guess is they were perhaps a little coerced into playing it after winning that iHeart Innovator award earlier this year - not explicitly like a trade off or some sort of private deal or anything I'm sure, but maybe they felt a little obliged to repay the favour by putting in an appearance. Plus the whole quest for relevancy thing, appealing to a wider and younger audience range.

Judging from what Dallas has said they clearly wanted to play at least some new material but obviously didn't give themselves enough leeway to perform and it was a bit apparent that Bono's vocals were a little off par, so rather than mess up a premiere of new material and perhaps taint them for a few months until they are released, they perhaps felt it a little better to stick with the tried and tested old guard tunes.

I suppose we're just not really used to seeing U2 play things like this I guess, but it was ok enough for me, nothing earth shattering. Desire really kicked though, and I enjoyed Beautiful Day / Pride too, some nice bass from Adam in Pride and Larry was really giving it what for throughout. Think if they were going to stick to old-school and with the 40th anniversary they should have perhaps ended or started with Out Of Control. Imho anyways.
  8. Think the original plan was to play some new stuff but it wasn't quite ready
